Save a Video at a Different Speed
Players let you watch at 2×, but the file stays the same. This tool saves a new video at the speed you pick: 1.25× to tighten a talk, 2× or 4× to turn a long screen recording or a sunset into a timelapse, 0.5× or 0.25× for slow motion of a trick shot or a golf swing.
The sound can keep its natural pitch — voices stay understandable at 1.5× — or follow the speed for the classic sped-up effect, or be removed. The new video is recorded as it plays at that speed, so recording takes as long as the result: a minute at 2× takes 30 seconds.

Frequently asked questions
Why is there no sound above 4×?
Browsers mute playback above 4×, and very fast audio is not intelligible anyway. For a silent timelapse choose “Remove the sound”.
Is slow motion smooth?
It shows each original frame for longer; it does not invent new in-between frames. Footage shot at 60 fps or higher slows down most smoothly.
How long does it take?
As long as the result: halving the speed of a 30-second clip takes a minute, doubling it takes 15 seconds.
Will voices sound like chipmunks?
Not with “Keep, natural pitch” — the pitch is preserved, so speech just sounds faster.
Can I speed up only part of a video?
This tool changes the speed of the whole clip. Cut the part you want with the Video Trimmer first, change its speed here, then put the pieces back together with the Video Joiner.
