Browsers include a real-time video recorder but no offline encoder, so the video is recorded as the audio plays. Your file never needs to be uploaded to a render farm.
Which size should I pick for YouTube?
1920 × 1080. For Shorts, Reels and TikTok choose 1080 × 1920, and square for feed posts.
Can I keep the tab in the background?
Keep it visible. Browsers slow down hidden tabs, which can make the video stutter.
Why is the file MP4 in one browser and WebM in another?
Each browser records the formats its encoder supports. Current Chrome, Edge and Safari record MP4; Firefox records WebM, which YouTube also accepts.
