The tag lives at the start of the file, separate from the audio frames. This editor writes a fresh ID3v2.3 tag — the version every player understands — and copies the audio untouched, so there is no quality loss at all. Tags it does not display, such as lyrics, ratings and ReplayGain, are carried over as they were.

Frequently asked questions
Does editing tags reduce the audio quality?
No. The audio frames are copied exactly; only the tag at the start of the file is replaced.
Why ID3v2.3 and not v2.4?
Version 2.3 is read by every player, including older car stereos and Windows Explorer, while some devices still ignore v2.4 tags. It supports Unicode, so any language works.
What size should cover art be?
A square JPG between 600 and 1400 pixels is ideal. Very large pictures bloat every copy of the file and some players refuse images over a few megabytes.
Can I edit several files at once?
This editor works on one file at a time, so every field can be checked properly.
Does it work for M4A or FLAC files?
No — those use different tag formats. This tool edits MP3 (ID3) tags only.
