Sign a Document Without Printing It
The print-sign-scan cycle survives mostly out of habit. It produces a worse document than the original — skewed, grey, several megabytes — and takes ten minutes. Drawing the signature directly onto the page takes about thirty seconds and keeps the file exactly as it was.
Your signature is drawn on a canvas here, trimmed to its own bounds, and placed on the page as a transparent image so the paper shows through around the strokes. The document and the signature both stay on your device.

Frequently asked questions
Is this a legally binding signature?
In many places a drawn mark on a document is accepted as an electronic signature, and this is the same thing you would produce by signing on a tablet. It is not a <em>digital</em> signature: it carries no certificate, does not prove who signed, and does not detect later edits. For contracts that require that, use a certificate-based service.
Why does my signature have a white box around it?
It should not. The signature is placed with a soft mask so only the ink is opaque. If you see a box, the PDF is being opened in a viewer that ignores soft masks — rare, but some very old readers do.
Can I reuse the same signature on another document?
You draw it fresh each time, which is deliberate: storing a signature image would mean keeping the most forgeable thing you own in browser storage. Drawing it takes a few seconds.
Is my document uploaded to sign it?
No, and this is the tool where that matters most. The PDF is parsed in your browser, the signature is drawn on a canvas in the same page, and the signed file is written locally. Nothing is transmitted.
