Crypto Profit Calculator
Work out net profit, return and the break-even price once both trading fees are paid.
Work Out What a Trade Actually Made
The number people quote as their profit is usually the price difference multiplied by the quantity. The number that reaches their bank account is that, minus the fee on the way in, minus the fee on the way out. On a small position with a 0.5% exchange fee, those two figures differ enough to turn a modest gain into a loss.
This calculator includes both fees and, more usefully, tells you the break-even sell price — the number the market has to reach before you have made anything at all. Nothing you enter is transmitted or stored.
Key features
- Fees on both sides — one percentage, charged on the buy and again on the sell, the way exchanges actually take it.
- Break-even price — the sell price at which you come out level, which is the only number worth setting an alert on.
- Return on investment — percentage return on capital actually deployed, not on notional position size.
- Works for any asset — crypto, stocks, anything bought at one price and sold at another.
- Nothing leaves the page — no account, no portfolio sync, no record of your positions anywhere.
This tool runs entirely inside your browser using native Web APIs. Your files and text are never uploaded to a server, never logged and never shared with third parties.

Frequently asked questions
Does this account for tax?
No. Crypto tax treatment varies enormously by country — capital gains, income, or something bespoke, with different rules for holding periods. This calculates the trade; what you owe on it is a question for your local rules or an accountant.
Why is my break-even higher than my buy price?
Because you paid a fee to buy and will pay another to sell. Both come out of the position, so the price must rise enough to cover both before you are level. That gap is exactly why frequent small trades rarely work out.
Is this investment advice?
No. It is arithmetic. It tells you what a trade at given prices produces; it says nothing about whether the trade is a good idea.
Are my figures saved anywhere?
No. Everything is computed in the page and nothing is transmitted or written to storage. Close the tab and it is gone.
