Privacy Policy
Effective 7 October 2026. How JebaTech handles information when you use the site and its tools.
Summary
- Your files stay on your device. Every tool runs inside your browser. The files, text, images, audio and video you open with a tool are processed on your device and are not uploaded to our servers.
- No accounts. We do not ask for your name, email address or any sign-up details to use the tools.
- Our own statistics are cookie-free. We count page views to see which tools are used, without cookies and without storing IP addresses.
- Third parties do use cookies. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, and an advertising network (Adsterra) to show ads that keep the tools free. Both may set cookies or use similar identifiers. You can control or refuse them as described below.
- You have rights over your personal information, including under the GDPR and California law. Contact us at support@jebatech.com.
Who we are
This website, https://www.jebatech.com (“JebaTech”, “we”, “us”), is operated by JebaTech. For the personal information described in this policy that we process ourselves, JebaTech is the data controller.
Contact for privacy questions and requests: support@jebatech.com.
Google (for Google Analytics) and our advertising partners decide for themselves how they use the information their technologies collect, and are responsible for that use under their own privacy policies, linked below.
Files and text you use with our tools
JebaTech’s tools — converters, editors, calculators, PDF, image, audio and video tools — run entirely in your web browser using standard browser features. When you open a file, paste text or record audio or video in a tool:
- the content is read and processed by code running on your own device;
- it is not uploaded to our servers or to anyone else’s, and we never see it;
- the result is created on your device and saved only when you choose to download or copy it.
A few tools use device features only after you allow them in your browser’s permission prompt: the camera and microphone (for example the Webcam Recorder, Voice Recorder and QR Code Scanner) and screen capture (Screen Recorder). Recordings stay on your device. Reading your clipboard happens only when you paste.
The one exception that contacts a third party: the YouTube Thumbnail Downloader loads thumbnail images directly from YouTube’s image server (i.ytimg.com, operated by Google) when you ask it to. Like any image request, this sends your IP address, browser details and the requested video ID to Google, under Google’s Privacy Policy. Some tools offer links to other websites, such as a map link in the GPS Coordinate Converter; nothing is sent to those sites unless you click the link.
Information stored on your device
To remember your settings and the work you save in some tools, the site stores data in your own browser. This data is not sent to us.
| What | Where | Purpose | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| Language, theme, pinned and recently used tools | Local storage (keys beginning jt:) | Remember your preferences | Until you clear your browser’s site data |
| Lists and drafts you save in tools (for example to-do lists, habits, budget, flashcards, citations, résumé, timers, teams, invoice sender details, typing best scores) | Local storage (keys beginning jt:) | Keep your work between visits | Until you delete it in the tool or clear site data |
| A file passed from one tool to the next (“Continue with…”) | Session storage | Hand the file to the next tool | Until you close the tab |
| Copies of pages and scripts you have opened | Service worker cache | Let tools work offline and load faster | Replaced with each new site version; until you clear site data |
jt_lang cookie | First-party cookie | Carries your language choice when you follow an old language link | Read once on arrival and deleted immediately |
You can delete all of this at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings.
Our own visit statistics
When you open a page or tool, your browser sends our server a small, cookie-free message containing the page address, the tool name, the interface language, the referring page and your browser window size. Our server derives your country from your browser’s language setting or, where our hosting provider adds it, from a country header.
From this we keep only:
- counts of views per tool, country, language and referring website (domain only), and daily totals for the last 90 days;
- a list of the 120 most recent views (time, tool, country, language, referring domain);
- a one-way hashed identifier, computed from your IP address, browser user agent, language and the current date, used only to count unique visitors per day. It is kept for the current day only and replaced the next day. Your IP address itself is not stored by this system, and the identifier cannot be turned back into it.
These statistics are visible only to the site administrator and are used to decide which tools to improve.
Server logs and security
Like nearly every website, our web server automatically records technical information about requests it receives — such as IP address, date and time, the address requested, the referring page and your browser’s user agent — in standard server logs. We use these logs only to keep the site secure and working (for example to investigate errors or block abuse), and they are kept for a limited period set by our hosting configuration.
The site administrator’s login uses a session cookie (JTADMIN) on the administration page only; ordinary visitors never receive it.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google (Google Ireland Limited for users in the EEA and Switzerland, Google LLC elsewhere, including the UK), to understand how visitors use the site — for example which pages are visited, how long visits last, and which devices and browsers are used.
- Google Analytics sets first-party cookies in your browser:
_ga(distinguishes users) and_ga_<container-id>(keeps session state), each with a default lifetime of 2 years. - It collects information such as the pages you view, your interactions, referring site, device type, browser, screen size, language and approximate location (city or region) derived from your IP address. Google states that Google Analytics does not log or store individual IP addresses from users in the EU, Switzerland and the UK.
- We do not send Google your name, email address or the content of any file you use in a tool.
- Google keeps Analytics data for the retention period configured in our account, according to Google’s own retention options.
Learn more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and Google’s Privacy Policy. You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data on all websites with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by blocking or deleting cookies in your browser.
Advertising
JebaTech is free because it shows advertising. Ads are provided by Adsterra, an advertising network operated by AD MARKET LIMITED (Cyprus) and ADMEDIA LLC FZ (United Arab Emirates), and are delivered in these ways:
- In-page ads. An ad script on our pages (the Social Bar format) loads advertising content from the network’s servers. The network rotates the web addresses it serves ads from, so ad content may load from a range of third-party domains.
- Sponsored page on download. When you download a file you created with a tool, a sponsored page from our advertising partner may open in a new tab. Your download is not delayed or changed, and your file is never sent to the advertiser.
- Banner images. Some pages may show banner images that are loaded from an advertiser’s server.
When ads load, the advertising network and its partners receive standard technical information from your browser — your IP address, browser and device details, the page address and language — and may set or read cookies or similar identifiers (for example device or advertising identifiers). They use this to deliver and measure ads, limit how often you see the same ad, detect fraud and, where the law permits, show ads based on your interests (personalised ads). Where personalised advertising is not permitted or you have opted out, ads may still appear but are chosen without using your browsing history (non-personalised ads, for example based on the page you are viewing or your approximate location).
Adsterra’s handling of data is described in its Privacy Policy. We do not give advertisers your name, email address or any file you use in a tool.

Your choices: cookies, analytics and ads
We are introducing a consent tool that will ask visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland before analytics and advertising cookies are set. Until it is available, you can refuse those cookies with the controls below, and you can ask us about any data at support@jebatech.com.
- Browser settings: block third-party cookies, block all cookies for this site, or delete cookies and site data at any time. Most browsers also offer a private browsing mode.
- Google Analytics: install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- Personalised advertising: opt out through the industry tools of the Digital Advertising Alliance (YourAdChoices), the Network Advertising Initiative or, in Europe, Your Online Choices (EDAA). On mobile devices you can reset or limit your advertising identifier in the device settings.
- Ad blockers and content blockers also prevent ad and analytics scripts from loading. The tools keep working without them.
Refusing or deleting cookies does not stop the tools from working; only preferences saved in your browser may be lost.
Legal bases for processing (EEA, UK and Switzerland)
Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or Swiss law applies, we rely on:
- Legitimate interests — to run, secure and improve the site: our cookie-free visit statistics and server logs, which are minimised as described above;
- Consent — for analytics and advertising cookies and similar technologies, where the law requires consent. Until our consent tool is available, you can refuse or withdraw by using the controls in “Your choices”.
- Legal obligation — where we must keep or disclose information to comply with the law.
Your rights under the GDPR
If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, you have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you and receive a copy;
- have inaccurate information corrected;
- have information erased;
- restrict or object to processing, including processing based on legitimate interests and any direct marketing;
- data portability for information you provided;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing that happened before;
- lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Because we do not run user accounts and do not store IP addresses in our own statistics, we usually hold no information that identifies you. For data collected by Google Analytics or our advertising partners, you can also contact those companies directly using the links above. To make a request, email support@jebatech.com. We will reply within one month, and may ask for information needed to confirm your request.
Your California privacy rights (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you rights over your personal information.
| Category | Examples | Source | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| Identifiers | Cookie and advertising identifiers, IP address | Your browser, through Google Analytics and advertising partners | Analytics, ad delivery and measurement, security |
| Internet or network activity | Pages viewed, interactions with the site, referring site | Your browser | Analytics, improving the site, advertising |
| Approximate geolocation | Country or city derived from IP address | Your browser, through our server and partners | Statistics, ad relevance, fraud prevention |
| Inferences | Interest categories used for personalised ads | Advertising partners | Personalised advertising |
We do not collect sensitive personal information, and we do not sell personal information for money. However, allowing advertising and analytics partners to collect identifiers and browsing activity on our site through cookies may count as “selling” or “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising under California law.
You have the right to:
- know what personal information is collected, used and disclosed;
- delete personal information, and to correct inaccurate information;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information — use the advertising opt-out tools and browser controls in “Your choices”, or email support@jebatech.com;
- limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not collect any);
- not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
We will respond within 45 days. You may use an authorised agent; we may ask for proof of the agent’s authority. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16. Residents of other US states with consumer privacy laws (for example Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and Utah) can exercise the equivalent rights — including opting out of targeted advertising — in the same way.
International data transfers
Google may process Analytics data in the United States and other countries; Google LLC participates in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and uses Standard Contractual Clauses. Our advertising partners may process data in the EU and in other countries, including the United Arab Emirates. Where information leaves the EEA or UK, these companies are responsible for applying the safeguards required by law, as described in their privacy policies.
How long data is kept
| Data | Kept for |
|---|---|
| Files and text you use in tools | Never sent to us; stays on your device until you delete it |
| Data saved in your browser | Until you delete it or clear site data |
| Daily visitor identifier (hashed) | The current day only |
| Daily visit totals | 90 days |
| Recent-views list | The latest 120 views |
| Aggregate counts per tool, country, language and referring domain | Until reset by the site administrator; contains no personal information |
| Server logs | A limited period set by our hosting configuration, for security and troubleshooting |
| Google Analytics data | The retention period set in our Google Analytics account |
| Advertising data | As set by each advertising partner; see their privacy policies |
Children
JebaTech is a general-audience website and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA and UK). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through our site, contact support@jebatech.com and we will take appropriate steps.
Security
The site is served only over HTTPS, uses a Content Security Policy that blocks injected inline scripts and code evaluation, and keeps its small server-side data store blocked from public access. Because tools process files on your device, the content you work with never travels over the network to us. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect the limited information we hold.
Links to other websites
Our pages and ads may link to websites we do not operate. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
There is no common standard for responding to “Do Not Track” browser signals, and our site does not change its behaviour when it receives one. Our site does not yet detect Global Privacy Control signals automatically; to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, use the options in “Your choices” or email us.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our tools, partners or the law change. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
Contact us
For any question about this policy or to exercise your rights, email support@jebatech.com. Please include enough detail for us to understand your request; never send us files you used in a tool — we do not need them, and the tools never send them to us.
