Frequently asked questions
What resolution are the frames?
The video’s own resolution — the pixels the video actually contains, without the player’s scaling.
Is PNG or JPG better?
PNG keeps the frame exactly but is larger; JPG is a fraction of the size and fine for thumbnails and sharing.
Why do frame steps sometimes land on the same picture?
Steps assume 30 frames per second. A 24 or 25 fps video occasionally repeats a frame when stepping; use the slider for fine positioning.
Does it upload the video?
No. The browser decodes the video and the frames are drawn and saved on your device.
