How do I convert US to EU shoe size?
For men, add about 33: a US 9 is roughly an EU 42.5. For women, add about 31: a US 8 is about an EU 38.5. The chart gives the exact row for each size.
How do I measure my foot?
Stand on paper with your heel against a wall, mark the tip of your longest toe, and measure in centimetres. Do it in the evening when feet are largest, and use the bigger foot.
Are men’s and women’s sizes different?
In US sizing, yes: a women’s size is about 1.5 larger than the men’s size for the same foot, so a men’s 8 is roughly a women’s 9.5. UK and EU sizes are usually unisex.
Why do sizes differ between brands?
Each brand builds on its own last (the foot-shaped mould), so the same number can fit differently. Treat the chart as a starting point and check each brand’s own guide.
What is a Japanese shoe size?
Simply your foot length in centimetres — a 27 is for a 27 cm foot. The international Mondopoint system works the same way, in millimetres.
