Maps apps want decimal degrees, paper charts print degrees, minutes and seconds, hiking and survey maps use UTM grids, military and search-and-rescue teams use MGRS, and databases store geohashes. Paste a coordinate in any of those formats — the tool recognises it — and get it back in all of them, each with a copy button and links to open the spot on a map.
Paste many coordinates, one per line, to convert a whole list and download it as CSV. Conversions use the WGS 84 datum that GPS uses, and UTM and MGRS are calculated with the Krüger series to well under a millimetre, including the special zones around Norway and Svalbard.

Frequently asked questions
How do I convert DMS to decimal degrees?
Decimal = degrees + minutes/60 + seconds/3600, negative for south and west. Paste something like 40°41′21″N 74°2′40″W and the tool does it for you.
What is the difference between UTM and MGRS?
They describe the same grid. UTM gives full eastings and northings in metres; MGRS adds a two-letter 100 km square so the numbers are shorter.
Which datum is used?
WGS 84, the datum of GPS, Google Maps and OpenStreetMap. Old paper maps on other datums can differ by up to a few hundred metres.
Can it read a Plus Code with a town name?
Only full Plus Codes (eight characters before the plus sign). Short codes with a locality need a lookup service.
Are my locations sent anywhere?
No. All conversions run in your browser; the map links only open if you click them.
