Play more than two octaves with the mouse, several fingers on a touchscreen, or your computer keyboard — the bottom row plays the lower octave and the top row the octave above, laid out like the piano keys themselves. Shift octaves to reach from low bass to high treble.
Choose a piano, organ, synth or bell sound, hold notes with the sustain switch, and label keys with note names or computer keys while you learn. Record a take, play it back, and download it as a WAV file rendered at full quality. The sound is synthesised live in your browser, with no samples to download.

Frequently asked questions
Which computer keys play which notes?
The bottom row Z X C V B N M plays C D E F G A B, with S D G H J as the black keys. The top row Q W E R T Y U I O P continues an octave higher, with the number keys 2 3 5 6 7 9 0 as its black keys.
Why is there a delay when I play?
Audio latency depends on the device and operating system. Wired headphones or speakers are faster than Bluetooth, which can add 100–300 ms. Closing other audio apps can also help.
Can I play chords?
Yes. Press several keys at once on the keyboard, or use several fingers on a touchscreen. Some keyboards cannot register certain combinations of more than two or three keys — the Keyboard Tester shows your keyboard’s limit.
Can I connect a MIDI keyboard?
Not yet — this piano is played from the computer keyboard, mouse or touch.
How is the sound made?
Each note is synthesised by the Web Audio API with oscillators, filters and envelopes, so there are no large sample files to download and the recording renders at studio quality.
