Frequently asked questions
Will the PDF look exactly like my Word document?
The content will be the same, but the layout is simplified to one clean column. Page setup, columns, text boxes, headers, footers and custom fonts are not reproduced. For an exact copy of a complex layout, use Word’s own “Save as PDF”.
Is my document uploaded to a server?
No. The .docx is unzipped and converted by JavaScript in your browser. That is why this is safe for confidential files.
Can it convert .doc files?
No — .doc is Word’s older binary format. Open it in Word, LibreOffice or Google Docs and save it as .docx first.
Are images included?
Yes: PNG, JPEG, GIF, BMP and WebP pictures are placed in the PDF. Vector drawings, charts and equations are left out and reported.
Is the text selectable in the PDF?
Yes. The PDF uses real text in standard fonts, so it can be searched, copied and read by screen readers — unlike converters that produce an image of each page.
